Our Mission
MBK’s mission is to improve health outcomes across the United States by promoting community wellness, strengthening healthcare access, and fostering collaboration among public health leaders and care providers.

Our History
Established in 1999, My Brother’s Keeper, Inc. (MBK) began as a focused initiative addressing the prevention, care, and treatment of individuals affected by HIV. Early on, MBK delivered forward-thinking education and training programs across public health, social policy, research, technology, advocacy, and organizational development—serving more than 20,000 individuals nationwide, including professionals from community-based organizations, faith-based groups, higher education institutions, and grassroots networks.

Today, MBK is a seasoned community health organization with a broader mission: to improve the overall health of communities by addressing key health challenges such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. Through health education, policy initiatives, and public health promotion, MBK continues to grow as a trusted leader—helping to build healthier communities and improve access to care, one region at a time.
