Supportive Healthy Youth (SHY) Project

The program’s purpose is to implement comprehensive HIV prevention programs to reduce morbidity, mortality, and related health disparities among black men who have sex with men (MSM) aged 13-29 and their partners who are at risk of acquiring HIV. SHY aims to increase the number of young, black MSM tested for the HIV virus; increase the number of HIV-positive black MSM who are aware of their infection; increase access to HIV testing; connect more HIV-negative individuals and their partners to prevention methods like condoms and PrEP and/or PEP.

This project is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under the funding announcement PS17-1704.
